Pretty Ladybugs
Ladybug has 1 black spot.
1 black spot, 1 black spot.

Thoughts
It was an antsy crowd today, so I skipped a book and some songs to shorten the story time session down.
Five Little Tulips
Five pretty tulips, in the meadow grew.
“Hmmm.” I said “I bet they smell pretty, too!”
So I bent down to sniff, but they tickled my nose!
Ahh-ahh-choo! Oh no-away one flower blows!

Thoughts
I think everyone was having a rough day today…lots of tears! Because of that, I cut some of the songs out to shorten it.

Thoughts
I was feeling a little under the weather, so I cut this story time short. I learned a valuable lesson…always, always, always bring your water bottle into story time!
Animal Pairs
I didn’t have a rhyme for today’s felt. Instead, I chose four of the most “spring-like” animals from the Eric Carle illustrations and played a match the baby animal to the parent animal. Melissa, author of Mel’s Desk, had some great suggestions for what to do with these felts!
