iSpy Tank: Beach Theme

Growing up, I absolutely loved the iSpy series by Jean Marzollo and Walter Wick. So, when I saw a post about an iSpy passive program at the library, I needed to do it!

This iSpy Tank is beach themed, so I used some sand that my library already had (we use it for sensory story times) and bought a few trinkets from JoAnns. I was so happy with the finished product, and a lot of children and their parents stopped to enjoy it.

Surprise Stories

This is one of my favorite passive programs that I have done. It’s simple:
-Wrap up a book.
-Write clues about the topic and content.
-Put it on display.
-Watch them fly off the shelf!

We also add a review sheet for children to fill out that asks them if they would recommend the book to another child and why. Reading these reviews is the best part of my day!
